The Kui people, who once made great contributions to the Angkor Dynasty in the form of weaponry and other activities, have been practicing traditional farming methods such as slash-and-burn agriculture for many years. However, the surrounding land has been converted to rubber plantations, and their way of life has changed drastically. In order to protect their livelihood, they are transferring poultry farming and other farming techniques to create jobs locally and are promoting tourism.
